The Weekly Chase

After taking off most of the month of June, I have settled into a pretty good routine the last couple of weeks or so. For so long, I thought that if I wasn’t following a workout DVD that I wasn’t doing a “real workout.” With 4 kids at home, I don’t have the time or space to do the DVD’s this summer, so I started doing my own thing and I really don’t know if I can go back to the DVDs.


Every day is different and I’m actually excited about working out again. I have just been walking, but I’m going to start adding in burst of running too. I do straight walks one day and the next just do 1/2 mile warm up and cool down with 30 minutes of strength training added in.

Goals for this week:

1.  Run/Walk every day

2. Strength train

3. Ice/Stretch/Foam after long walks/runs

4. Log everything into MFP.

    Good for you for doing those workouts!! I haven’t ever really done workouts that weren’t a class, DVD, or running, but what a great idea!

      I have never been more sore in my life. My quads and calves are on fire when I try and walk down stairs, an incline, etc. Icing right now and feeling a million times better.
