Sweat Out the Sick

Yep. The stomach bug got me. I woke up yesterday morning and just felt like total garbage. Thankfully, my husband had just returned hours before hand from a 2 week business trip in Germany and I spent all afternoon in bed.

My whole body hurt and it took everything out of me to just roll over, it was horrible. But, by the time I woke up this morning, it was like yesterday was just a bad dream. I felt 100% better. Thank goodness. I thought about skipping my workout today, but then decided to just go ahead and sweat all the nastiness out of me.


40 minutes later, I felt even better! I believe it’s always best to listen to YOUR body, I told myself that if I didn’t have the energy or stamina to keep it up then I would stop, but that never happened, so I kept on going right to the end.


Breakfast was pretty light- two pieces of toast with peanut butter and pineapple preserves with Spark mixed with strawberry sparkling water.


Lunch was my newest favorite smoothie- frozen banana slices, coconut milk, chocolate protein powder, spoonful of peanut butter and lots of ice.


For dinner we went over to my Mom’s house where we had blueberry belgium waffles. Holy crap. Amazing.


And now we’re just hanging out and I’m SOOO happy that I’m no longer playing the role of single Mom and the husband is back in the country. Two weeks in Germany went fast for him, s.l.o.w. for me, but he brought back chocolate…so….


Not a clue what it says or what I’m eating, but wow. Incredible! I’m a sucker for white chocolate, it’s my favorite and this did not disappoint. So creamy and just sweet enough. It also has pieces of crushed nuts on top.
