I mean. Really. I need to find a place where it’s 65-75 year round.
The good news? I don’t want to eat or cook or do much of anything not involving me in a body of water somewhere.
I have been drinking this stupid easy smoothie for breakfast – delicious, easy and cold. Done.
Frozen banana, ice, spinach, peanut butter, chocolate protein powder. Blend into oblivion. Enjoy.
For lunch yesterday I actually had a salad. If you know me, you know this just doesn’t happen. You will never hear me say I’m craving a salad. I hate making them at home and I rarely order them when we go out, but when I do, I always wonder why I don’t make them or order them more. It’s hard being in my brain sometimes.
While we do have central A/C in our house, the unit is too small (that’s what she said) for our house. When it gets over 85 outside, we are at the A/C’s mercy. I keep it set at 72, but without fail, by 6pm, it’s 76+ in the house and we sweat until the sun goes down and the A/C starts working again. Because of that, using the oven or anything else involving heat right now for dinner isn’t going to happen. I hardly ever use the microwave except to warm things up, but I microwaved these baked potatoes last night. Less than 10 minutes vs over an hour in the oven? Boom diggy.
The chicken was grilled and it was amazing as always. No matter what marinade I use, it will always taste a million times better grilled.
I haven’t been able to convince myself to get outside and run in this heat – I’m a giant baby, but tomorrow it has to happen. I am only two weeks away from race day!!!!
