When Advocare stopped being an MLM company, I wasn’t sure which direction I was going to go in. Some people were planning on sticking around, most people jumped ship all together and some decided to wait it out. At first, I thought my MLM days were over, I was pretty bitter about the whole thing. While I didn’t have a huge empire of distributors, I was a part of someone else’s and it seemed real crappy that with one phone call, their 10 years of hard work of building a team was just wiped out. At that moment, I decided I was done all together with them. The more I thought about it, the worst I felt about sticking with a company like that. Ok, now that I got that off my chest (it’s been festering for MONTHS), it’s time to talk about new directions and new adventures.
Yes, I’m a personal trainer and I do love my job. I love creating workout plans for clients and working in a gym environment, but when it comes to my own workouts, I was getting crazy burned out on getting to the gym long before my shifts or having to stay long after them and so I started doing at home workouts again. My journey with Beachbody is a long one and it began about 11 years ago when my baby at the time was just about 1.5 years old and my other 2 kids were 3 and 6. I was a new stay at home mom and money was tight, so a gym membership was out. I was up breastfeeding the baby one night and saw an infomercial for Turbo Jam and I was instantly hooked. I went on to get Turbo Fire and ChaLEAN Extreme as well; Turbo Fire is my ultimate soul mate workout! At that point I was contacted by a BB Coach (which was relatively new at the time) and I jumped in and was quickly an Emerald level coach. But then the unthinkable happened, my Dad was killed in a head on collision and my entire world stopped and was shattered. I stuck around for awhile, but ultimately I left that world behind.
In 2016, two years after the birth of our 4th and final child, I was looking to make an income from home. Beachbody brought back too many memories and I just couldn’t do it. But now, I’m ready. I’m ready to jump back in and start a fresh, new chapter in my life and ready for new adventures. I decided to join again because that world is 100% different than it was 10 years ago, there is actual coach training now, I am learning how this all works to be successful and there are SOOO many workout programs and plans for ANYONE!!! I love that I can get up in the morning and knock out my own workouts before spending the day at the gym and keep myself on track.
On July 29th, I’ll be joining my team in doing the newest workout, Morning Meltdown 100
I am so excited to get started on this journey and help others as well.
