Just Today…

JustToday

Losing weight can be a hard journey, some times looking at the big picture is too much. My new motto is “Just for today”.

* Just for today I will drink more water than diet coke
* Just for today I can get in at least 30 minutes of exercise
* Just for today I can choose more fruits and vegetables
* Just for today I can do this.

JUST FOR TODAY.

I plan on indulging over the holiday and I make no apologies about that, but I also plan on getting in a workout as well. This morning before I went to my mom’s for an all day cook fest, I did some Ab Jam.

Tonight we are headed out for a pre Thanksgiving dinner out and then I’m going to bed early. My Mom is allergic to turkey, so I am in charge of that as well, since we eat Thanksgiving early in the afternoon, that big ol bird needs to be in the oven early, so I sleep over at my Mom’s house every year. This will be the first night in the 19 months that Emma has been alive that I will be getting a full night of uninterrupted sleep. Holy crap.

I leave you with this. Remember, food is not good or bad. There is no need to punish yourself for eating food or feeling like you “deserve” it. Ever.

    I think your moto is great! Just for Today! Spot on. Sometimes looking at the big picture is daunting. And I agree that everyone should indulge on Thanksgiving… just not go over board. I think there’s a difference between stuffing yourself and enjoying a bit of everything. Although I usually end up stuffing myself 😉 Have a great Thanksgiving!!!

      Completely agree! I have no plans on eating until I can no longer move, but it’s definitely a day I’ll indulge in desserts and having a taste of everything.
