Half Marathon Training {Week 2}

My plan was to get this posted on Saturday, but the eye saga continues. Very long story short, I did not have pink eye and the drops I was using for 10 days did some damage to my cornea and prolonged the healing of the condition I actually have- Episcleritis, the name sounds worse than it is. The pain was so bad on Friday and through the weekend, it felt like someone punched me in the eye and looking at a computer screen was instant pain. Thankfully, the steroid drops I have been on are doing the trick and I’m feeling almost back to normal! That being said, I had a pretty solid week of training up until Friday, so let’s get to it!

Monday: 2 Miles (25.09)

Tuesday: 1.5 miles (21:06)

Wednesday: 1 mile (13.00)

Thursday: 2 miles (27:30)

Friday: 2 miles (26:55)

Total miles this week: 8.5

Total miles this training cycle: 15.5

    Oh wow, that sounds awful! Yes, your eyes definitely look red on that photo in the car.
    And you ran every day in the workweek! Well done!
    Consistency is key and you’ve nailed it!

      That was on the day that it was really bad, thankfully looks way better now!
      Consistency with working out has ALWAYS been my downfall, but I am looking forward to my daily runs, so for the first time ever, I’m consistent and it feels amazing!

    Oh man, eye problems? I’m glad you are getting better. That is no fun! I’m drooling over your gym Precor treadmill. It looks so… new! Mine is getting pretty old and that one is all shiny and bright. They are good machines! Good job getting the workouts done this week!
