Friday Fitness {1}

New series that I’m starting today. Each Friday I will recap my workouts for the week and make my goals for the following week. Because I don’t know about the rest of you, but if I put my goals out there for the world to see, I will follow through with them. Now that we are {dare I say it} sleeping a bit more at night, when Emma woke up at 5 this morning and was back in bed by 5:30, I took that opportunity to workout, shower and made lunches for all 3 kids. Boom. It was then that I realized how unbelievably out of shape I am. Cardio is hard. Oy. I have decided to go back to basics and use my vast collection of DVD’s until I can get back to the fitness level I used to be.

*Note I own a crap ton of Beachbody DVD’s, I’m not nor do I want to be a Beachbody coach, I just really like the exercise programs because they work.* 

Most people take their day 1 pictures in a sports bra and shorts…that’s not going to happen. Because in all honesty, no one sees me in a sports bra and shorts on the regular. I care more about how I look in every day clothes, which is why I took my day 1 pictures in a simple t-shirt and jeans.

My Day 1 Stats:

Weight: 186.2

Chest: 43″

Waist: 40″

Hips: 42″

Thighs: 22″ (L & R)

Biceps: 13″ (L & R)

Calves: 14″ (L & R)

Will be updating these stats every 30 days.

And now my free time is up, time to get the masses up for school and feed them. Have a great day!

    Good for you committing to your goals publicly. Definitely an added level of accountability that way! I actually took some “before” pictures a couple months ago right when I started studying for my NASM personal training certification, but I’ll admit, I didn’t have the guys to post them. Hopefully, by the end of the process there will be a visible change and maybe then I’ll share them with the world!

    With how cold it is lately, I will have to look into doing at-home workouts on days where I just reallyyy don't want to go outside, haha. 😛

    Good luck! I think setting weekly goals is a lot more effective than setting 1 main goal. I tend to set a smaller goal if it’s just for 1 week and then I’m more likely to follow through with it. I hope your first week goes well 🙂

    I love that you’re putting your goals out there on the blog. It always helps to make me more motivated and committed too! I hear ya about the sports bra and shorts thing. I’m not so sure I want pics like that of me out in cyberspace. Ha.

      Haha- right? I don’t want those pictures to come back and haunt me.

      I was amazed as well, and it hasn’t happened again 😉
