It really is the most wonderful time of the year, am I right? The excitement, the anticipation, the family time. I love it all.
We had a late lunch / early dinner with our families and then it was time for the gift exchange. Adults draw for adults, kids draw for kids. When Emma opened this gift- it was the definition of the magic of giving gifts. She was so beyond excited!
Tonight is the night our elf Trixie leaves to go back to the north pole until next Thanksgiving. This is the one night a year that the kids can touch the elf and say good bye. They wanted to take pictures with her.
And then we gathered all of the cousins together for the traditional Christmas Eve picture before calling it a night.
This is the first year that Tyler didn’t get matching jammies, he’s a teenager now and the sizes don’t go up that high. So grown up!
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!!!

I love the idea of a gift exchange! Makes total sense with a big family. I need to bring this idea up to my fam. And I LOVE the family Christmas card. I can’t wait to do that next year when I have a little more time to get them done haha! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! It looks like you had a wonderful Christmas! Many blessings to you in 2016!
Such a BEAUTIFUL family! Love the matching PJs 🙂 Christmas Eve is one of my favorite days of the year. The excitement is awesome!
