A Day In The Life

I tried getting pictures of everything, but it was impossible. Here’s a typical Monday in our house with 3 kids in school full time and a 9 month old.

5:25am Emma is up, she was last up for a bottle at 11:30, so I’m happy. By 5:45 she was like this, so I put her back in bed and took a quick shower before waking up the oldest and getting him up and out the door by 6:45.

7:30 wake up the next 2, pack lunches, feed them lunch and be out the door by 8:10

9:00 arrive at the grocery store, thankfully Emma is in a really good mood this morning. We took our time shopping, she was happily waving to everyone and just looking around.

Drink this one the way home

10:30 come home, quickly unload groceries and it’s time for a bottle and morning nap for Emma

…and trivia crack on my phone while she was drinking her bottle

11:15 she wakes up, I do a load of dishes, throw a load of clothes in the washing machine and put dinner in the crock pot- chili.

12:00 Lunch. Chicken nuggets and strawberries for Emma, leftover potatoes and kielbasa for me

1:00 Nap time! Another bottle and then blog reading and doing nothing for me until she wakes up and my oldest gets home at 3:00

3:30 – pick up 2 kids from elementary school, come home for a quick snack and back out the door by 4:15 to get to dance for the 10 year old. Every other week they have the windows open so we can watch, last night was watch night.

5:45 get home and the husband beat me home! He started the corn bread for dinner and it was done when we got there. Dinner, baths, homework all done by 7:30.

Can’t remember what time, but I squeezed in a workout. 20 Minute Turbo Jam- quick, but intense.

8:45 all 4 kids are in bed.

9:00, bedtime for me = reading until I can’t keep my eyes open any longer.

Thankfully, E slept until almost 3am before needing another bottle. Love when she sleeps a long stretch like that!

What a busy day. I love that you worked out at the end. Just goes to show that anyone who says they don’t have time to squeeze in fitness during the day is just coming up with an excuse!

It wasn’t easy, I wanted to lay on the couch and relax, but I knew it was only 20 minutes and I would feel a million times better if I got it done. And I did!
