4th of July {Part 2}

Today was much more laid back than yesterday. We just hung out around home for the better part of the day and after Emma’s nap, I took her and my Karlie out for a walk.

When we started, I asked Karlie how far she thought we could walk and she said let’s go all the way to the end of the walking path. *insert panic face* I knew that it would be well over 3 miles and I was nervous. Pushing a stroller and walking with a 10 year old and my own insecurities almost made me say no…but I agreed and off we went.

We stopped here on our way back to take off our shoes and socks and stick our feet in the cold creek. Along with every other person out for a run this afternoon. #bonding.

As we walked by, it smelled SO good, so many fragrant flowers.

We were about 1/2 mile from home- MOM- I HAVE TO SIT.

After that and a well deserved cold shower, we bbq’d some dinner for ourselves and Spencer’s mom and dad.

Spence and the older kids let off some fireworks while I stayed inside with our little party pooper.

and now I am done for the day. All I want is my bed and crossing my fingers that maybe after almost 15 months, Emma will sleep all night. I can wish, right?
